Break The Monotony of Sweetness With A Bowl Of Fruit Dip
Michalis 'BIG Mike' Kotzakolios

You may have tried it out in a party or a convention or at your grandmother's place. You may have seen it being served in those fancy restaurants. You have even encountered one in a movie you were watching. Regardless of where you have seen the same, there is but one thing that is certain: enjoying fruits with a fruit dip is sure to make the experience even more memorable.

Fruits are sweet. Some of them are very sweet. And though fruits can satisfy the cravings of our sweet tooth, there will come a time, after the tenth or so bite, when we'd grow accustomed to the flavor. Our urge will diminish and our taste buds will clamor for something different. And this is where a fruit dip will come in.

A fruit dip is sure to counteract the sweetness of fruits. In doing so, it will give emphasis on the distinctive flavor of every fruit, and you'll get to appreciate it more.

This kind of dip is quite easy to prepare, contrary to what many people believe. Actually, you just need two - yes, TWO - ingredients, and that's it. These two ingredients are cheddar cheese and marshmallow crème, both of which are readily available from any convenience store. All you have to do is to mix the cheddar cheese and the marshmallow cheese to come up with the counteractive taste you desire (usually on a 1:1 ratio), and you're ready to enjoy your fruits in a totally different way.

A fruit dip is sure to add more life to a delicacy of fruits that you may decide to serve in a party or any other gathering. Your guests are sure to love the exquisite way of presenting traditional fruits. For most of them, it will be a totally novel manner of enjoying nature's bounties. They might even ask you for the recipe, an excellent icebreaker, and they'd be surprised to know how easy it is to prepare one.

Variety is the spice of life, and this manner of enjoying fruits is sure to make such treats more exciting. Aside from the aforementioned ingredients though, you may decide to add your own touch. The cheddar isn't too tasty for you? Add more cheese to the mix. Want a dash of bitterness? Add a teaspoon of sparkling wine. The possibilities are limitless, and so are the possible flavors you can concoct, and this makes thing dynamically stirring... no pun intended, of course.
